text-align: justify"> 기원제는 풍물놀이를 시작으로 세명대 이창식교수의 “칠성봉 기원제에 대한 설명을 들은 후 제천향교 장의의 집례로 초헌관에 엄태영 제천시장, 아헌관에 이운선 중앙의림명동 주민자치위원장, 종헌관에 송만배 제천문화원장이 제를 올린다.</span></p> <p style="font-size: 14pt; margin: 0pt; line-height: 22.4pt; font-family: "HY견명조"; letter-spacing: 0pt; text-align: justify"> 칠성봉은 제천시민의 정신적 상징으로 해발 871미터의 용두산을 주산으로 하여 사방이 산으로 둘러싸인 분지 지형을 이룬 시내에 다른 산줄기와 이어지지 않는 일곱 개의 작은 봉우리가 바로 칠성봉이다.</span></p> <p style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 22.4pt; font-family: "HY견명조"; letter-spacing: 0pt; text-align: justify"> ‘제천시지''에는 이 일곱 봉우리를 1봉 독송정(獨松亭), 2봉 연소봉(燕召峰), 3봉 성봉(星峰), 4봉 요미봉(要美峰), 5봉 자미봉(紫美峰), 6봉 아후봉(衙後峰), 7봉 정봉산(丁峰山)이라 밝히고 있으며 칠성봉은 규장각에 보관된 제천현 지도(1872년경 제작)에도 그 위치가 표시되어 있다. </span></p> <p style="font-size: 14pt;
