Cheongpoong Whangseok-li Goga

The old house in Hwangseok-ri

1981. 05. 01. Chungcheongbook-do’s cultural asset number 84th. This is managed by Jecheon-city.

Yu In Wheng lived in this house which was built in the latter period of Chosun and this was in Cheongpoong-myeon Whangseok-li.

In late 1985, by constructing the Chungju dam and due to submersion, this house was moved to Cheongpoong Cultural Assets Town. This house looks like ’ㅡ‘ and like the general house, the kitchen and the main room and the upper room were arranged side by side. At the end of this house, reception room was built. In front of the main room and upper room, wooden floor is there and in front of the reception room the kitchen is there. In Meoritwe, Twetmaru was established so that master can entertain his customers.

Gakjuiium located at the gap of Twetmaru, the reception room and the kitchen is unique. This house is plane structure and this is the representative type of house with 4 rooms(including kitchen).
