Mountain chains are connected to Geumsu Mountain (1,015.8m) and Dong Mountain (896.2m) and mountain chains are connected to the west side and connected to Sinsunbong, Jeoseungbong, Jogaribong and lakeside with mild wind. Both side of this mountain chain has Neunggang Valley and Hakhyeon-li Valley. Main mountain of the foot of Geumsu Mountain has strange rocks and bizarre stones and way to Amreung is connected to them for you to enjoy the hiking. Each rock can show old pine tress which is really magnificent and the lake side has a mild wind which is really beautiful. Also, you can see silhouette of Geumsu Mountain and Woraksan Mountain from a distance. This sight is lovely and gorgeous. The trail which is connected to Sinsunbong(peak) is the course of National Marathon. In Jeoseungbong, many wild boars were found and the name of Jeo(pig)seungbong is based on this fact. Jeoseunggol is located at the north Jeoseungbong, Hakhyeon-li. Locals called this 'Miinbong(pretty girl)' instead of Jeoseungbong.

In the ridge way which is located behind the Hakhyeon-li Hakhyeon supermarket, strange rocks like horse rock, crane rock, seal rock and ugly rock, etc are there. You can enjoy these rocks. Jeongbangsa(temple) is located under the southwest cliff of Jeoseungbong and this temple was established by Jeongwonseonsa(Monk) back in Silla Munmu king era in year 662. In Jeongbangsa yard, you can see the lakeside with a mild wind and Weolak Mountain. Water of Seokgansu behind Jeongbangsa is really pure and good.

Jeongbangsa(temple) section (Jeongbangsa ∼ Peak ∼ Sinsunbong ∼Sanghakhyeon) Total time for hiking: 3 hours 30 minutes. Time for section: Jeongbangsa - (10 minutes) - Main ridge Anbu - (10 minutes when you have round-trip) - Jogaribong - (30 minutes) - Peak - (1 hour 30 minutes) - Three-way intersection of tomb - (20 minutes) - Sinsunbong - (10 minutes) - Three-way intersection of Donggeumdae - (40 minutes) - Sanghakhyeon

Starting points of Jeoseungbong are Hakhyeon-li Jecheon Youth Center or Hahakhyeon Eumbawi(rock), Youngachii and so on. You can hike through the main ridge to Sinsunbong and then go down to Sanghakhyeon town and this is the general course. There are several trails and you can select proper trail to save time.

If you are satisfied with Jeoseungbong, it is nonsense. If you go up to Sinsunbong which is connected to the main ridge and then go down to Sanghakhyeon town, it takes only a day.

If you use two cars and if you start at Jeongbangsa(temple), it will be convenient. You had better put your car at Sinsunbong Hahakgyeon town and you had better use your other car to go down to the parking lot which is located at under Jeongbangsa. Concrete road is connected from Neunggang Bridge to Jeongbangsa. It takes 10 minutes when you go from Jeongbangsa to the main ridge.

The trail is connected to the right side of the entrance of Jeongbangsa and spreads out into the inner main ridge. If you go to Jogaribong, you should go to the west side for 5 minutes. In the peak of Jogaribong, you can find the wooden sign which shows 'Jokgaribong, 582m', and several old pine trees. In this Ambong, you can see Cheongpoong-land bungee jumping place and the fountain.

If you pass Jogaribong and then go to Jeoseungbong, you should start at Hakhyeon 3 Bridge or Dowha Bridge.

At three-way intersection which is connected to Jeongbangsa(temple), the ridge which is connected to Jeoseungbong is connected to Amreung road. This place is covered with old pine trees and the sight is gorgeous. At the left side, you can see Dong Mountain and a little knoll. You can also see Gabo hill road which is connected to Hakhyeon-li Valley and Danyang Mepo-eup under this sight.

The trail was treated well because of Marathon. Here and there, Amreung is connected but it is not dangerous. Wooden sign which show 'Miinbong 596m' is at the peak of Jeoseungbong.

If you pass three-way intersection which is connected from Jeoseungbong to Hakhyeon-li, you can find Amreung road. You should go up and down through big and small Amreungs, but strong ropes are tied to the rock so it is not hard to climb. The sight of Geumsu Mountain and Cheongpoong Lake is wonderful. If you pass Sonbadak rock and King Kong rock, you can find really steep rocky ground. You can find two ropes which were installed. If you use the ropes and then pass this rocky ground, you can find a tomb and three-way intersection which is connected to Jecheon Youth Center. Even road with Oak trees continues from here.

In the peak of Sinsunbong, stone tower and peak sign are there. If you go straight, you can find Geumsu Mountain. If you go through 2.5 km north side path, you can find the valley intersection. If you come down through the left forest road, you can pass Yesu town and you can reach Sanghakhyeon town.
